Please remember that the Arctis Volcano candle deliberately streams down the side to spill out its internal colours, like a lava flow. We recommend burning this candle in or on an aluminium or heat proof dish / surface. This is to catch the “lava” and make sure you get the most out of the wax. Keep that wick trimmed to burn for as long a time as possible! Any wax that doesn’t burn can be collected and re-used in a wax burner. Burning the volcano or waterfall candle in a deep-dish type burner will collect the pooled wax and let your candle burn longer, but this is entirely up to you!
All of our candles are made with a 100% natural soy wax that is biodegradable and vegan friendly. As our products are all hand poured and detailed, there will be natural variation between each item, making each one uniquely yours. For the best burn, follow our handy 3-step guide below:
- The first burn should be quite long (usually 2-3 hours)! Wax is pretty amazing and has a kind of “memory”, so it always melts the same way as its last burn. Make sure to burn the candle until it forms a nice little pool for itself.
- Wicks should be always be kept trimmed to ~5mm before each burn. This helps to keep a steady happy little flame that shouldn’t flicker too much and keeps that candle lifespan healthy. An old pair of nail clippers do the job nicely!
- Funnily enough, candles don’t like the wind so keep them away from draughts! A draught can bring in too much oxygen for the wick to burn in time which can lead to smoke, uneven burning, and even reduced scent throw.
Candles should be stored in a cool, dry location away from direct heat, sunlight, and moisture. Old or partial candles may be re-melted, and the wax reused but it is advisable not to heat the wax above 85°C or heating for extended lengths of time. We hope you enjoy burning your candle as much as we enjoy making them!

All our hand soaps are made with a vegetable derived soap base, made using natural oatmeal and nourishing shea butter so its vegan friendly. As our products are hand poured and detailed, there will be natural variation between each item, making each one uniquely yours. To get the most out of your soap, follow our handy tips below:
- Use a soap dish that offers proper drainage so the soap can dry between uses. A slatted wood or bamboo soap dish is ideal because it wicks water away from the soap, allowing the soap to dry properly. Alternatively, a “soap saver” (an oval disk with raised nubs) placed in the bottom of your favourite soap dish should keep it high and dry and mighty.
- If you’re not going to use your soap immediately, then make sure to store it in a well-ventilated container and out of direct sunlight, as natural ingredient colours may fade. Handmade natural soaps are high in natural glycerin and vegetable oils; non-ventilated storage may result in a “weepy” or less than fresh soap! Ideally, don’t store your soaps in the bathroom! A cool and dry place like a linen cupboard is ideal and adds a lovely little fragrance to your linens.
- Store different fragrances separately! The essential oils in handcrafted soaps vary in dominance and mellow over time at different rates. Storing a lavender (dominant) scent with a citrus (mild) scent may result in the citrus scent taking on a lavender aroma. Even under the best conditions, citrus scents tend to mellow more quickly than other scents.

Wax Melt and Burner Safety Info: Wax melts should only be used in appropriate wax melt burners. Always read the safety information provided with your burner prior to use. Do not over fill the wax melt burner as wax will spill over. Do not use metal or sharp objects to clean out wax as this may crack or damage the burner or cause injury!
Directions for Use: Place the wax melt burner on a level, flat, cool, heat resistant surface away from draughts, other heat sources and flammable objects. Position the wax melt in the top bowl of the burner and a tea-light in the bottom base. Allow the heat of the tea-light to melt the wax and fragrance will release into the room. The wax melt burner will become hot while in use so allow the burner to cool completely before touching or moving. Do not allow the pool of wax to completely evaporate. This could cause the wax melt burner to scorch and smoke. Let the wax melt burner completely cool before re-use. Failure to follow these instructions could result in a fire hazard:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended or move it when lit.
- Remove all packaging before use.
- Only use with a good quality tea-light. Do not use with a maxi tea-light, votive or other candle.
- Keep the wax melt burner and tea-light out of the reach of children and pets.
- Do not leave the wax melt burner on or near anything that can catch fire and keep foreign objects out of the wax pool.
- Extinguish the tea-light if the flame becomes enlarged or contacts the wax melt burner.

Reed diffusers or other fragrance dispersers are an ideal addition to your home, office or elsewhere; allowing you to add constant fragrance without the need for flame or heat. The reeds in a diffuser or the corks in a car freshener soak up the fragranced oil and disperse the scent into the air. Our diffusers and fresheners will last until all of the fragrance oil evaporates which is dependent on size. Reed diffusers typically last for around 10-12 weeks depending on the temperature of the room and placement of the diffuser. To maintain your diffuser or freshener and keep your space fragranced for longer we recommend following our handy care instructions below:
- To use remove the cap and stopper, replace the cap and insert the reeds (if using a diffuser). If you’re using our diffuser refills then take care when pouring into your diffuser bottle, use gloves and a funnel or a pouring jug. Wipe any drips or spillages immediately!
- Place your reed diffuser where people pass by throughout the day, this encourages air circulation and lifts the fragrance. Car fresheners can be hung from the rear-view mirror using the attached cord or placed in a compatible car vent with the optional clip.
- If you like a fuller fragrance use more reeds, for a lighter fragrance use fewer reeds. Flip the reeds to freshen the fragrance and take care not to spill the oil. Use gloves when handling reeds! Car fresheners can be carefully tipped to ensure the internal cork is soaked in the fragrance oil.
- Do not place your diffuser or freshener directly on polished or painted surfaces, use a coaster or mat to avoid damage to furnishings from accidental spillages.
- Do not light the reeds! Do not ingest! Keep out of reach of children and pets!
